A good product transcends borders, providing value across cultures, languages, and timezones. Here at x.ai, we’ve scheduled meetings for people in 210 countries in 2020 alone and we’re focused on creating the best experience every single time.
Long-time users know x.ai was developed with English as the primary backdrop, an international shortcoming that we’re eager to address in the future. However, there are many places throughout the scheduling tool that let you localize the experience for your guests, with different languages, local email and domains, as well as timezone and time formatting.
We’ve rounded up 9 tips and hacks to help you localize your scheduling.
- Customizable Calendar Pages
- Copy/Paste Time Options
- Use a Slash Command
- Mix Languages Over Email
- Put the Scheduling AI on a Local Domain
- Customize the Scheduling AI’s Signature
- Set Up Personalized Meeting Reminders
- Accept Payments in 136 Currencies
- International Zoom Support
1. Customizable Calendar Pages
Create unlimited Calendar Pages and customize the greeting on each page — for free!
x.ai supports the Unicode Standard, which means you can write anything in any language using any and all local characters, then share it with people to let them schedule time with you.
You can also add Custom Fields with labels in your preferred language. Custom Fields are an efficient way to gather additional information when your guests are booking from your Calendar Page.
Pro Tip: Browse our Meeting Template library for inspiration and to quickly add any templates to your x.ai account. You can then customize them to create Calendar Pages.
2. Copy/Paste Time Options
When you copy and paste time options into an email, your guests can select a time without leaving their inbox.
The text that you paste in can be edited, allowing you to replace the instruction text with your preferred language.
You can quickly access Copy & Paste Times from the x.ai Chrome extension, from the Schedule Meeting button on my.x.ai, or from clicking the clock icon next to a calendar page on my.x.ai.
3. Use a Slash Command
It’s true that when someone writes to the Scheduling AI in another language, the Scheduling AI will politely ask them to send their message in English. You can get around this by using a Slash Command to set up your meeting.
That /zoom in the middle of the sentence is a trigger to the Scheduling AI to use all of the preferences in Dennis’s Zoom Meeting Template to start scheduling the meeting.
4. Mix Languages Over Email
Because the Scheduling AI is trained to only process the text related to the meeting, you can mix languages in your email without issue.
5. Put the Scheduling AI on a Local Domain
Make your Scheduling AI part of the team with a localized company email address.
6. Customize the Scheduling AI’s Signature
Personalize the email signature for your Scheduling AI in any language so they feel like an extension of you and your brand.
7. Set Up Personalized Meeting Reminders
With a premium x.ai subscription, you can set up unlimited Meeting Reminders and you can fully customize the message and when it’s sent.
8. Accept Payments in 136 Currencies
You can accept payment at the time of scheduling from your x.ai Calendar Page in one of 136 different currencies.
9. International Zoom Support
Localize your virtual meetings. x.ai uses your Zoom global dial-in settings to determine which phone numbers are included on the event description.
Bonus Tip: Embed Your Calendar Page
Embed a Calendar Page on your website to take complete control of the experience.
